How to find where you lost places in an IPSC match
Practical method: overall → stages with the biggest gap → compare nearby rivals → training focus.
Losing places is rarely “the whole match”. Almost always one or two stages pull the percentage down. Scoring Services helps you find those stages.
Step by step
- Open the match hub and your division overall — note place and percentage
- Open your athlete detail: check HF and relative place per stage
- Use heatmaps and best stages to see where the division was strong and you were not
- Compare with 1–2 athletes just ahead of you on comparative graphs
- Take the worst stage into training on ipsc.digital (and review on video at hitfactor.me)
Useful question: was the gap to the champion speed (time) or accuracy (points/penalties)? Combined and athlete detail show both.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know which stage cost me places?
In athlete detail and heatmaps, compare your HF and place per stage with the division and nearby rivals. The biggest gap usually explains the overall drop.
Speed or accuracy?
If time is high with good hits, the gap is speed. If time is competitive but you have many C/D/MISS/NS, the gap is accuracy. Combined shows both.
