IPSC coaching — coaches, stages and ranking by division

The coach publishes stages with briefing, setup, drawing and videos; the shooter enrolls in a division, logs every run with a BLE timer and both follow the progress.

IPSC coaching — coaches, stages and ranking by division

Coaching puts coach and shooter in the same place: the coach prescribes the work — conditioning, stage strategy and the detail of every transition — and the shooter runs it, logs the run and sees where they gained and where they lost. Scoring is the same as Athlete Training, so hit factor and projected all-A time compare across both tools.

How it works

  1. The coach builds the stage

Briefing, setup, drawing and videos; picks the accepted divisions and whether the stage is open or part of the subscriber library.

    Stage Designer
  2. The shooter enrolls

Picks the division and power factor, then gets the full briefing, the videos and the drills.

  3. Logs the run

Tap grid on the phone, BLE timer filling time and splits, and the summary with hit factor before saving.

  4. Both follow along

Ranking by division and progress history; the coach sees the whole group and each shooter.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a registered coach to publish stages?

Yes. In this version the coach profile is created by the platform administration; the shooter uses a regular account to enroll and log runs.

Which timers are supported?

Special Pie SP M1A2 and Shooters Global (SG Timer, Sport, 2 and GO), over Bluetooth. The model is recognized on its own when it connects — the device name decides nothing. Web Bluetooth works on Chrome, on Android and desktop; on iPhone the time is typed on the keypad.

Is the Coaching hit factor the same as an official match?

The calculation is the same as Athlete Training: points over time, A/C/D by power factor and the M, NS and PROC penalties. It is meant to compare runs with each other, not to replace official match certification.

Are the coach videos public?

The video address does not appear on the page: it is resolved only when you open it, and only for whoever has access to the stage. That protects the video from being found from the outside — someone who already has access can still copy the link.
